As a CMS member, you've already taken a meaningful step by planning ahead — understanding your hospice and palliative care options is a natural part of that same journey. Care can take place at home, a hospice centre, a hospital, a long-term care facility, or an assisted living or group home; the right choice is personal and may evolve over time. Death Doulas / End-of-Life Doula

A death doula — also known as an end-of-life doula or death midwife — offers emotional, spiritual, and practical support to those approaching the end of life, and to their families. They work in partnership with healthcare providers, hospice teams, and caregivers, with a simple belief at the heart of the work: every person deserves to be seen, heard, and held with dignity at the end of life.
