YOUR RIGHTS AS A CMS MEMBER

To Be Treated with Dignity
You have the right to respectful, compassionate treatment by CMS staff, volunteers, and partner funeral homes.

To Receive Clear, Honest Information

We provide plain-language details about your membership, funeral planning options, and pricing.

To Make Informed Choices

You control your end-of-life plans. We support your choices with reliable, unbiased information.

To Privacy and Security

Your personal and planning information is stored securely and only shared with your permission.

To Share Concerns Safely

You may contact us with questions or complaints at any time — without fear of retaliation.

To Access Your Records

You can review or update your membership and funeral plans at any time.

To Participate

As a member-owner of this cooperative, you may vote at our AGM and join events, committees, or volunteer efforts.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep Your Info Updated
Let us know if your address, phone number, or next-of-kin changes.

Tell Your Family or Executor

So they can access your CMS preferences when needed.

Be Courteous

We ask all members to interact respectfully with CMS staff and funeral service providers.

Know What We Do

CMS coordinates with locally owned funeral homes — we are not a funeral provider ourselves.

Support the Co-operative

Membership is a one-time fee. Donations help us stay sustainable and serve more Albertans.
