Four director positions will be filled at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. These vacancies arise following the resignation of Debbie Patterson, effective January 31, 2026, after accepting a new contracted role providing bookkeeping and treasurer services to CMS; the retirement of Susan Costello, who is transitioning from the Board into a valued volunteer role delivering CMS presentations in Calgary and surrounding communities; and the retirement of Miriam Carey, who is stepping down from the Board into full time retirement. Ross McNichol is seeking a second term on the board.

CMS Board of Directors Election

In December, the Cooperative Memorial Society (CMS) issued a call to members inviting expressions of interest in serving on the CMS Board of Directors. We sincerely appreciate the responses received and the willingness of members to contribute their time, skills, and experience in support of CMS.

The following members have agreed to let their names stand for election at the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Members are encouraged to review the candidate profiles below and participate in the AGM to help shape the future leadership of the Cooperative Memorial Society.
