Our Funeral Service Providers

We partner with locally-owned funeral homes throughout Alberta to provide our members with quality funeral services and plans, all while offering significant savings.

Our funeral plans, offered in partnership with locally-owned funeral homes, are designed to help you choose a simple and dignified service at an economical price. The amount you save will depend on the plan and funeral home you select, as well as any additional services you choose. Families consistently report saving an average of $2,500 to $7,500 and express deep appreciation for the excellent care and service provided for their loved ones.

We offer a range of funeral plans, from simple cremations with no service to more elaborate burial services that include viewings and ceremonies. Each funeral home provides different plans, services, inclusions, and pricing. Typically, the plans are structured as follows:

• Plan A1: Funeral Service with Burial
• Plan A2: Funeral Service with Burial (Green Casket)
• Plan B1: Basic Cremation with No Events
• Plan B1-A: Basic Cremation with Private Farewell
• Plan B2: Basic Cremation with Funeral Service (Cremation prior to the funeral event)
• Plan B3: Cremation following Visitation and Funeral
• Plan C: 10% discount

Plans can be purchased either at the time of need or pre-arranged in advance. Prepaying for funeral plans is available through most of our providers, allowing you to lock in current prices and finalize your decisions ahead of time—potentially saving even more.

While our basic plans are similar across all of our service providers, specific details can vary based on our negotiated contracts with each funeral home. For this reason, it’s important to discuss all services and costs upfront, and to compare plans among different providers to find the best fit for your needs.

In addition to the funeral home plan price, a $35 records fee is collected by the funeral home at the time of plan payment and remitted to us (CMS). This fee helps cover our administrative costs. We are able to keep our fees low because we operate as a volunteer-led organization, with a dedicated board of directors and an Executive Director. We also employ one part-time Membership Services Coordinator.
